We joined the B Corp™ movement
We're proud to put the B in Bugaboo. Being B Corp certified means we’re committed, and on the right path to making a positive impact on the world for future generations. From taking care of our employees, to launching circular services, and using sustainable materials, conscious choices have always been in our DNA, and our B Corp Certification™ will keep us pushing to do even better. Being B Corp certified is also another big step on our Push to Zero journey to be net zero by 2035 – but there's still work to do.
What is a B Corp?
Joining the B Corp movement is an ongoing journey. To become a Certified B Corporation™, we had to show that we’re meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency, set by B Lab™. They scored us in five impact areas of their B Impact Assessment. We continue to reach these high standards, and we’ll keep improving to have an even more positive impact on the world around us.
Our B Corp journey
Becoming B Corp certified goes beyond the sustainable materials we use. The way we work together, power our factory, and support community causes contributes to our B Corp Certification too. Here's the progress we're making to have a more positive social and environmental impact.
Making progress
Strolling more sustainably
As well as Buy Back, customers can join the circular economy with Bugaboo Flex leasing and Certified Refurbished, which gives strollers a longer life. On top of that, and switching to mass-balanced bio-based material, we’re also using eco-friendly fabric coatings and vegetarian leather to help push our stroller footprint down even further.
Built to last
We design our strollers with the future in mind. They’re tested beyond industry standards, and built with a modular design that makes it easier to repair or replace single parts, if and when needed.
Our own factory
By owning our factory in Xiamen, we can ensure safe, fair, and humane working conditions. Our commitment to preventing modern slavery extends to our supply chains and making sure our suppliers work to high standards too.
For the future
From installing solar panels on our factory roof to using bio-fuels for our ocean freight, we're finding more and more ways to push our CO2 footprint to net zero by 2035.
Sense of community
We're committed to supporting great causes, including Urban Nature Declaration and Designathon Works. Our company-wide volunteering program, Count us in, encourages teams around the world to get involved in local initiatives. And we offer additional support by donating products to hospitals, women’s shelters, SOS Children’s Villages, and families who’ve been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
Our people
It's our responsibility to create an environment that enables wellbeing and success. To do this, we raised the standard of paid leave, so eligible employees have equitable access to time off for maternity, parental bonding, and family care leave. We pay a living wage, provide private pension plans, and offer career development opportunities. We also provide mental health support through OpenUp.
Putting the B in better
Our B Corp Certification doesn’t mean that we’re perfect – it means that by joining the B Corp movement, we’re part of a community working to use business as a force for good™. So, there’s still more we need to do, and we'll use our B Corp Certification as a framework to keep improving and pushing for a better future.
